Modular Display Layout (under construction).

The Main enclosed new HO-Scale module build has begun.

Started the day after New Year on January 2, 2025.


Tracks laid and ballasted, added some
bumpy surfaces, the world is not flat.

The underside of the baseboard - wiring.

 A scratch built cardstock and printed
media building in the making.

More scratch built cardstock structures.
The Plate layers hut / Gang hut to the left
and the Parachute water tank to the right. 

A scratch built prototypical

Planted some aloes. 

Ground cover and ballast.

Used very fine sifted sand for the groundcover. 

Added some stones for extra realism. 

Added a few tree stumps. 

Fitted two working incandescent lampposts.
The perfect lumen to fit the scale. 








Static grass in progress, making good use
of my DIY static grass applicator -
12 volt DC cordless.

Drying in sunlight is speeding up the process.

Added some static grass and bushes
(less is more) - different shades.





Fitted the photo quality backdrop,
the protected covers for the control
switches and the name plate. 

Fitted the powder coated aluminum frame.

Moved the module to my "office".
The only thing remaining is to install
plexiglass covers on the top,
the left, and the front,
a mirror for the right hand
and LED tube lights.

Test fitted the LED tube lights.

Locomotive (a die cast metal and brass kit).

added all around for extra realism.

Work started on the SAR staff house, the lights
are on. Next project is to add some vegetation,
a neglected lawn and a fence with hinged
gates that really open and close.

to replace that fused globe.
